Industry 4.0 is transforming the traditional industrial environment into an IoT environment. This change dramatically increases the importance of cyber security in the risk management strategies of industrial SMEs. Cybersecurity threats are becoming increasingly dangerous for industrial SMEs, as they can now affect their production lines by exploiting their many OT vulnerabilities.
Within the current industrial situation, traditional security mechanisms are not applicable, they are not adapted to react to the constantly evolving cyber security threats. Due to this situation, industrial SMEs have been exposed to a number of cybersecurity threats with logical and physical consequences in the world (environment, people…).
For these reasons, the need for SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) dedicated to industrial SMEs is the top priority today for security analysts at both the industrial and government levels.
