Today, we interview Carlos Docampo Casal (SAP Consultant). We hope you can learn more about his experience working with our company.

What is your role at Inprosec?

I hold the position of SAP and GRC Security Consultant. Since joining the team, I’ve worked on various projects. However, in recent months, my daily focus has been on maintaining GRC support and managing authorizations for three of our clients.

What would you highlight about your role within the company?

Working with a specific group of clients has allowed me to perform my tasks more efficiently and effectively, as I’ve gradually become familiar with their procedures and ways of operating. Additionally, getting to know each company’s internal staff enables a more direct and effective communication.

Moreover, since incidents can vary widely, it allows me to learn every day and ensures each day is different.

What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?

It has been a turning point in my career. Previously, I worked in digital marketing and banking, but never in cybersecurity. This role has been a challenge, as it “forced” me to step out of my comfort zone, and it has become a great opportunity for personal and professional growth.

How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?

Thanks to the options Inprosec provides, balancing both areas isn’t difficult for me. On the one hand, the option to work from home three days a week, or even having remote work flexibility for special situations, makes things easier. Adding to that, the company’s flexible hours make it very easy to balance personal and professional life. Often, when I talk to friends, they’re still “amazed” that I get to work from home three days a week.

What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?

The positive atmosphere among employees is one of the things I’d highlight most about the company. Equally, you always feel valued and heard, which I think is another strength worth mentioning.

Tell us an anecdote that caught your attention during your time at Inprosec.

My first interaction with people from the company was at a futsal game a friend invited me to, which happened a couple of weeks before I started working here. On my first day at work with my colleague Aida (it was the first day for both of us), I greeted everyone who had been at the game, which surprised Aida a bit. Later, she asked me, “Do you know everyone at the company already?”

Another anecdote was when we had the old entrance. Several colleagues and I got “locked in” the day before a holiday until we were informed that there was an emergency key for these situations in the office.

As an employee of a cybersecurity company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting with their systems?

My advice is that, in today’s world, information is a vital part of a company, and cybersecurity should be considered a priority. It’s increasingly common to hear about breaches that expose employee or customer data, which leads to significant conflicts and issues of security and reputation.

What are your hobbies after the workday ends?

I’ve always been passionate about sports, and as a fairly active person, I try to maintain these habits after work: going for a run, grabbing a drink with friends, or playing a game of soccer or basketball.

Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?

I’m going to nominate Aida because we joined the company together, and I believe her insights could be very interesting.
