Today we interview Paula Callero, of our commercial department team. We hope you get to know about his experience working at our company.
What is your role at Inprosec?
My role within the company is very diverse, ranging from more administrative processes to managing international clients in the commercial team.
What would you highlight about your role in the company?
The aspect I value most about my role is the synergy with almost every department in the company. This allows me to have a holistic view of many internal and external processes. The ability to understand the objectives of each department and their reasons behind them gives meaning to everything we do.
What has Inprosec meant for your professional career?
I joined Inprosec while I was finishing my degree, so being my first experience in the job market, it has been very rewarding in terms of the evolution I have experienced from the moment I joined until today.
How do you manage to balance personal and professional life?
Since I started, juggling both studies and work, I have always been able to find time for myself and my personal responsibilities. I have always been given the flexibility to perform well at work while also enjoying my personal life.
What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?
What I value the most is, without a doubt, the daily learning and my colleagues. Since I joined the company, I have learned something new every day, and having teammates who are always willing to help makes everything even better.
Tell us an anecdote that stood out to you during your time at Inprosec.
I actually have quite a few funny anecdotes since I joined the company. At the beginning, my role was in the marketing department. When we had to choose merchandise for the 2024 events, I became obsessed with an “infinite pencil” that, in my opinion, was the perfect choice—though in the end, we never ended up buying them. To this day, my colleagues still ask me about the pencil. On top of that, one of my teammates even created an AI-generated song about it, and it’s still making the rounds in the company!
As an employee of a cybersecurity-focused company, what advice would you give to any entrepreneur starting out regarding their systems?
It is always better to prevent rather than having to solve a problem. Businesses should adopt a preventive, not reactive approach when it comes to system security. Even though it may not be tangible, information is one of the most valuable assets in any organization.
What are your hobbies after the workday?
After work, I try to take my afternoons easy and dedicate time to myself and my loved ones. I usually go to the gym, take walks (even better if they’re by the sea), and I love visiting charming cafés where I can enjoy a cozy afternoon with my friends.
Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?
I nominate Pedro Estévez, who is my boss. Let’s see what he has to share with us!
