Today we interview a new incorporation in this year 2023 to Inprosec, Noelia Álvarez Costas (SAP Consultant). We hope you can learn about her experience working in our company.
What is your role within Inprosec?
Within Inprosec, my role is that of SAP Consultant. I collaborate in SAP Security and SAP GRC projects and services mainly for external clients.
What would you highlight about your functions within the company?
What I would highlight the most is the great variety of projects and tasks that occur on a daily basis within the company, which allows the work is not monotonous and you can constantly learn new things.
In addition, I have the opportunity to work for a support service of a large customer, so I would also highlight the opportunity to deal with end users. Knowing the problems that may arise on a daily basis and being able to give them a solution is very gratifying.
What has Inprosec meant in your professional career?
I had never previously worked in a sector related to cybersecurity, and knowing that it is a booming and constantly growing sector, I was a little “vertigo” to enter it, therefore, working in Inprosec has been a great professional challenge and a source of constant learning.
How do you manage to reconcile personal and professional life?
One of the many great advantages Inprosec offers is telecommuting and flexible hours.
In my case, I feel that I am much more efficient by starting work early in the morning, so this flexibility makes it easier for me to organize myself and have a little more free time at the end of the working day.
What do you value most about working at a company like Inprosec?
It is difficult for me to choose one aspect to highlight, as I think there are many to choose from.
I would mainly highlight the work environment, we are a large group of young people and there is always someone willing to help you with anything that may arise, both within the SAP department and in the rest of the departments.
In addition, I would highlight the professional development and continuous training and also the possibility of having a Line Manager you can count on for any kind of management, doubts, problems, etc.
Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention in a situation in a stage in Inprosec
Since I started working at Inprosec, I have been struck by the number of initiatives that are made so that you can meet your colleagues outside the work environment: soccer games, dinners, lunches … In addition, a few days ago they gave us a T-shirt, backpack etc. and all these things make me very excited.
As an employee of a company specializing in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is just starting out regarding their systems?
The cybersecurity sector is a sector that is constantly growing and evolving, so I think it is very important that an entrepreneur who is just starting out in this field or who already has experience in handling systems, should be very informed and therefore train their employees.
What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?
The truth is that I am a very active person, I like to spend as little time as possible at home. If there is a ray of sunshine I love to go for a walk on the beach, go for a drink with my friends, go shopping… If the weather is a bit greyer, I always take the opportunity to go to the gym.
Who do you “nominate” for us to interview next and why?
I nominate my SAP colleague Eduardo Castillo, because we joined the company on the same day and I would like to know his answers.
