Today at Inprosec Human Capital we present Jenifer Garzón Expósito, Head of Finance and HR Back Office.
What is your function within Inprosec?
Since November 2018, I have been part of the Inprosec team as an Assistant to the Management, actively participating in the Management Committee and in strategic development, as well as being responsible for the Finance and Human Resources Back Office.
Of the roles you play in the company: Finance, Human Resources and Marketing, which one gives you the most?
All the areas I work in provide me with knowledge and visibility on multiple topics, so a flexible role allows me to grow as a professional by diversifying my experience. If I had to stay with one function it would be my role in the finance area, the financial controlling part is where I feel most fulfilled.
What has Inprosec meant to your professional career?
Inprosec has given me the opportunity to continue growing as a professional, to dedicate myself to performing the functions that really fill me – thanks to a personalized career plan – and has given me the possibility of being Line Manager for several colleagues.
How do you manage to reconcile your personal and professional life?
The reconciliation of professional and personal life at Inprosec is simple. The company has very flexible work policies such as teleworking, 2 hours of flexible working days, Friday afternoons off or the possibility of combining studies with work.
Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention about a situation at Inprosec.
Since I started working at Inprosec what has caught my attention most is the familiarity and closeness of the work team, regardless of the person’s responsibility or function. In fact, most of us work in a common room sharing our day-to-day life and that provides a great working environment and the possibility to interact with all your colleagues. Even though we are a company of 30 employees, and growing, the relationship is very fluid between all of us.
What do you value most about working for a company like Inprosec?
In relation to the above, I greatly value the good working atmosphere, the options for conciliation and the fact of having a tailor-made professional career, in addition to the support given to us in terms of training and continuing to expand our knowledge. Another point I would highlight is the dynamism of the company, in terms of technology and adaptation to the environment, which allows us to belong to a modern company with possibilities for the future.
As an employee of a company that specializes in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is starting out with respect to their systems?
Undoubtedly, prevention and training in good practices associated with cybersecurity. Awareness and being informed is of vital importance so as not to require incident resolution services for information leaks or cyber attacks, among others. No company is risk-free, but it is in your hands to mitigate risk.
What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?
What I most enjoy doing in my free time are outdoor activities, preferably a team sport, and making the most of my time with my friends and family.
Who do you “nominate” to interview next and why?
I nominate Noelia Garcia, partner of RGPD and IS area and great professional. I’m sure it gives us a very interesting insight into another area of the company.
