Today at Inprosec Human Capital we present to you Analí Saavedra, a member of the team in charge of the finance department.
What is your function within Inprosec?
Since I joined Inprosec in March 2019, I have been part of the finance department, first by doing the required internship in the master’s degree in finance I was studying and later as the back office of the department. I have been part of several internal projects carried out by Inprosec, including the implementation of the accounting program we are currently working with.
Today, I am in charge of the day-to-day operations of the department and provide support in the different activities it requires.
What would you highlight about your role in the company?
What I would highlight, without a doubt, are my tasks in accounting. Running the daily operations of the Inprosec group has allowed me to acquire a great deal of knowledge in the world of accounting, thus improving my autonomy in this field. Also, I have been able to expand my accounting knowledge across borders, now I am able to analyze financial statements of Mexico, who would say! Likewise, I have been able to reinforce my knowledge in other fields related to accounting, such as the fiscal field, deepening especially in the tax models to be presented by companies and knowing their presentation deadlines, as well as the information from which they are obtained.
What has Inprosec meant to your professional career?
I am passionate about finance and the field of accounting has always been one that I have enjoyed working in. Inprosec gave me the opportunity to dedicate myself to it. For this reason I can say that in my professional career it has been my great support.
I feel really lucky to be working in what I like best, getting up in the morning and thinking, with a smile, about what I will be doing all day long motivates me enormously. And if to this we add that the company seeks to be the best in what we do by providing all the facilities is a plus that not everyone can afford and, from my point of view as a worker, much less enjoy.
How do you manage to reconcile your personal and professional life?
Something that seemed impossible or, why not say it, a desire, is the option of being able to work from home. The fact that I don’t feel obliged to be in the office during my whole working day makes it much easier to be with my family.
Flexible working hours and teleworking, an option that Inprosec has been working on for several years, are the two strong points for a person to be able to reconcile their personal and professional lives.
Tell us an anecdote that has caught your attention at some stage in Inprosec.
Something that surprised me pleasantly and with what I keep as an anecdote are the Inprobeers (meetings of all the workers, volunteer, that the department of Projects organizes twice a year), this year they were virtual. It allows us to spend time with our colleagues, get to know each other better while sharing a pleasant and fun time while disconnecting from work. I think it is the best way to establish a relationship between the workers since we spend a lot of time together after all.
I consider it an anecdote because I had never experienced it before in any of the companies I had worked for. Seeking to have workers spend time with their colleagues in the most pleasant way possible improves the relationship between them and, without a doubt, the working environment, one of the objectives that every company wants to achieve.
What do you value most about working for a company like Inprosec?
There would be several points, but what I consider to be of great value is the good working environment. Everyone is always willing to help and has a good attitude. Working in a pleasant environment motivates you to continue your professional life in a company and I consider that Inprosec makes an effort to be the best.
As an employee of a company that specializes in cybersecurity, what is your advice to any entrepreneur who is starting out with respect to their systems?
To start with, we should make both the employer and the workers aware of the importance of cyber security and the possible consequences that can be triggered if things are not done right. Once both points are clear, the strategy can be developed or proposed.
Nowadays, practically all our world is digitalized, so it is vital that we look for the best way to protect our information.
What are your hobbies at the end of the working day?
One of the things I do at the end of my working day is go out for a drink with my partner (when it could be done, now only at home). It’s either cold or hot. Being able to share my day with him, everything that has happened to me is, without a doubt, the best time. Sometimes he doesn’t know much (whether it’s accounting entries, whether it’s VAT or tax model X…) but he’s always there paying attention to me and asking me a thousand questions.
Who do you “nominate” to interview next and why?
I find it interesting to know what a person who has been in this company for several years thinks and who will soon start a new stage in his personal life. For this reason I nominate Ramon, a colleague from the SAP department who will become a father for the first time this year, CONGRATULATIONS!
